This year, the Crossroad of Biotechnology will present the 12th edition of its annual conference, to be held at the Biotechnology Research Institute of the National Research Council (NRC-BRI). The EULAR congress is the venue for scientific presentation of basic, clinical and translational research. Hopefully, new knowledge can be translated into improved prevention of the rheumatic diseases and into better treatment and rehabilitation of patients with these disorders. The major focus of the NanoBio-Europe Congress 2007 is set on medical applications of nanbiotechnology, in particular the characterization of cellular processes, machinery and interacion to control, manipulate or manufacture molecules or supramolecular assemblies to improve human health.

Commonly available anti-cancer drugs will be reviewed, particularly in relation to mode of action, dose intensity and chemotherapy regimes.
