Javelin Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (AMEX: JAV - News) announced today it has accepted the resignation of Dr. Curtis Wright, its Executive Vice President for Risk Management and Regulatory Affairs, for personal reasons. Dr. Wright will pursue a business opportunity outside the field of pain drug development that offers him the opportunity to work closer to his home and continue as a consultant to Javelin.
Dr. Daniel Carr, Javelin’s Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer, stated, “Curt made a significant contribution to Javelin’s growth from a drug development company to a commercial pain treatment company. Curt’s primary career interest was in the field of addiction, and we wish him well as he returns to that career. The focus of his consultancy for Javelin will remain risk management and regulatory affairs, areas in which we now benefit from more mature, autonomous and greatly strengthened teams than when he first joined the Company. Pending identification of his successor, the directors in these areas will continue to advance our programs based upon our internal resources and our longstanding relationships with major advisory firms, with the benefit of Curt’s continued counsel as a consultant.”
“I continue to believe strongly in Javelin’s mission, product candidates, and success in the marketplace,” said Dr. Wright. “I look forward to my advisory role with Javelin’s capable risk management and regulatory teams.”
