Rival Technologies, Inc. is an innovative energy related technology company, investing in emerging technologies. Rival has filed several provisional patents and patent applications and is now focused on licensing its technology for industry use. Each technology benefits the environment, reduces global warming, and has exceptional market segment potential.
Rival Technologies Inc. (Other OTC:RVTI.PK - News) Earlier this year the Company engaged an engineering firm to provide an independent review and evaluation of its TRU(TM) process. The report has now been completed and received by the Company.
It is concluded that the TRU(TM) process has benefits and the operation of a commercial unit can be projected from existing test results. "It is recommended that we undertake a continuous feed pilot program that simulates, to a reasonable degree, the expected operating conditions for a commercial production thermal cracker - solvent extraction process," stated Klaus Oehr, Director of Research and Development at TRU Oiltech.
A one barrel per day pilot plant is forecast to cost USD $5 million. TRU Oiltech is now in discussion with a number of potential oil industry partners for this next phase in commercial development of the TRU(TM) process.
In September 2005, Rival Technologies Inc. purchased a technology with the potential to provide an upgrading process for heavy crude and oil sands bitumen.
TRU Oiltech Inc. was created, laboratory scale research and development rejuvenated, resulting in a next generation primary upgrading technology, the TRU™ process. The process cost effectively produces a premium, pipeline grade, synthetic crude oil branded TRULITE™ and is now ready for continuous feed pilot testing by heavy oil producers and refiners worldwide.

About the World Heavy Oil Congress:
The World Heavy Oil Congress is the world's premiere international, technical and business conference, specializing in the heavy oil industry - the largest such gathering of heavy oil professionals in the world. It is comprised of Technical and Business components, featuring senior level executives from leading oil companies worldwide, and an Exhibition, featuring the latest technologies, products and services in the heavy oil industry.
Rival Technologies Inc. (Other OTC:RVTI.PK - News) reports that in a recent run of their primary upgrading technology, subsidiary TRU Oiltech has documented the highest ever conversion of Athabasca bitumen to TRULITE(TM) - a distillable pipeline grade synthetic crude oil (SCO).
Typically, bitumen contains less than 45% distillable components (naphtha, distillate and gas oil), and cannot be pipelined to a refinery.

Petroleum is the general term for solid, liquid or gaseous hydrocarbons. Hydrocarbons are a class of organic compounds consisting only of carbon and hydrogen and which are the basis of oil, natural gas and coal.
Crude oil is naturally occurring petroleum.
Technically, crude oil consists of pentanes (hydrocarbon chains consisting of five carbon atoms and 12 hydrogen atoms) and heavier hydrocarbons (hydrocarbon chains longer than five carbon atoms in the formula). It may also contain other materials such as water, natural gas, sulphur and other minerals.

Rival Technologies Inc. (Other OTC:RVTI.PK - News) reports that subsidiary TRU Oiltech has contracted the services of an independent third party engineering consultant to provide an unbiased valuation of it's synthetic crude product TRULITE(TM). The analysis will provide the Company's potential development partners with independent verification of the market value of TRULITE(TM). Completion of the report is expected within six weeks and moves the company towards finalizing licensing agreements with one or more heavy oil producers.
Management has been actively meeting with heavy oil producers over the past several months in line with its strategy to complete one or more license agreements in early 2008. This will move TRULITE(TM) to the next stage of development, building a pilot production facility in conjunction with an oil company partner.
Rival Technologies Inc. (Other OTC:RVTI.PK - News) is pleased to provide shareholders with an update of recent activities as we continue to move the business development plan forward.
Introduction of the TRU(TM) technology, within the primary heavy oil upgrading market, is underway. The target market consists of three groups of oil exploration companies; large, intermediate and multi-national, all with existing or planned SAGD projects. Further, we have identified five high potential development partners within each group. Negotiations are progressing well with initial results expected during the next two months.
In addition, steps are being taken to increase investor awareness of Rival Technologies Inc. We have recently contracted with TVA Productions to produce and distribute a large multi-media marketing campaign focused on market potential for the TRU(TM) process and Rival Technologies. It is expected to begin during the fourth quarter and continue into 2008.
