Dr. Silvio Inzucchi is Professor of Medicine at Yale University and attending physician at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He serves as the Clinical Director of the Section of Endocrinology, the Director of the Yale Diabetes Center, and Medical Director of the Department of Medicine's faculty practice on Dana 3. Dr. Inzucchi has an active clinical practice in endocrinology and metabolism. His research interests mainly involve the clinical care of diabetes and insulin resistance, and the impact of both on cardiovascular disease. Dr. Inzucchi's work has been published in numerous journals including the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, and the Annals of Internal Medicine. As a noted teacher, he has delivered lectures both nationally and internationally on various topics in the fields of diabetes, lipid disorders, pituitary diseases, and disorders of calcium metabolism.
